Can you tell us about your career path?
I have a Master's degree in applied IT management, and I've enriched my professional experience by working for 6 years in a service company in various fields such as luxury goods, shipping and healthcare. I joined Thuasne® in March 2014 as a business intelligence project manager.
What did this job entail?
My job was to provide the data needed for decision making across all the Group's divisions. This involved building standard reports and dynamic dashboards to make it easier to understand the data. Initially working alone in this role, the team has expanded, with the Data division being created in 2022 and now counting 7 people.
What job do you do today?
I was appointed international and corporate financial controller manager in January 2024. In this role, I consolidate the financial statements and create reports to analyse and challenge financial performance, in collaboration with the subsidiaries. The aim is to ensure that profitability is in line with the Group's strategic orientations. I also oversee the management control teams worldwide.
"I'm grateful for the trust placed in me, and I'm working hard every day to live up to it."
What motivated this change of profession?
I'm a very curious person! After several years working on financial projects, I decided to study the main principles of this field at EM Lyon. With the progress of artificial intelligence, the world of finance is undergoing radical change. My complementary skills are therefore an asset when it comes to automating processes.
What are your initial thoughts after a few months in this new position?
Every day I learn new subtleties and mechanisms in finance and that's a real pleasure! I'm surrounded by caring people who are available on a daily basis to help me develop my skills in the specific aspects of the different professions. I'm grateful for the trust placed in me, and I'm working hard every day to live up to it.
